Note: I did not invent this game, if you want to know where I got it from, PM me

Step 1) Do stuff.

Step 2) I roll a die and tell you what actually happens.

If something is coming to hit you, even if it's not your turn, you'll get a roll to dodge it.

You win if all the other players are dead (though feel free to cooperate regardless). Once you die you become a ghost and are no longer eligible for victory until you gain physical form again.

If you die, you may invent ways to come back to life; a pact with the devil, secret super powers, adopting a cybernetic body, etc. These will be subject to the normal rolling rules.

Updates will happen whenever I feel like it, resolving any outstanding actions players have taken. However I will attempt to update regularly, once every 2 days at the least when possible.

Anyone can join or leave at any time. However if you leave let me know so I can properly remove you from play.
Players who preform no actions for 4 updates will also be removed from play and will need to re-enter the game to continue playing (exception to this is if you can give me a very good reason to be inactive).
An exception to this is when you have been excluded from play by either myself or through actions.

Restrictions:
- Any action impossible without an intermediate action will automatically fail, regardless of the roll. (Example: Trying to walk when you are laying on the floor without standing first.)
- You cannot take the same action twice in a row.
- Only the first thing in a compound action will be used. (Example: "I get the shirt and I put it on" will be resolved as "I get the shirt".)
- If multiple actions are submitted before the turn is resolved, only the first action will be used.

Rolls are on a normal die with six sides. The higher the roll, the more successful the action was. The more ambitious the activity is, the harder it is to succeed and the more dire the consequences of failure.

If I say something happens, it happens, regardless of what you think should happen.

1 - Epic failure.
2 - Failure.
3 - Partial success.
4 - Success.
5 - Perfect success.
6 - Overshot.

There is virtually no limit to what you can do. Don't go too far though; you have a 50% chance of something going wrong.

Special powers and abilities need to be acquired first before you are able to use them. But you can be creative and gain the special power and use it in the same turn. Perhaps doing you action causes you to get a special power as an added result.

Instant-win moves/actions are technically not illegal, they are however frowned upon and are subject to an highly increased rate of horrible failure.

My word is final; if I say something happens, it happens, regardless of what you think should happen.

Also I will have fun twisting what you post, so "be careful for what you wish for" and don’t be surprised if something as simple as a spelling mistake comes back to bite you.

To begin playing, simply post your first action here in the thread.

Note that in this game I might give slight positive modifiers (hidden) for things I think are really funny and penalties (can be extreme) to stupid things that could adversely affect the game (game enders etc).


THE SITUATION

You begin the game aboard a ship stuck on autopilot heading straight into a star, you will die soon if something is not done!

[Turn 1]
Krios "I kick the control panel."
Event: (2) You kick the control panel and your boot somehow gets stuck in the panel. Ship is still on autopilot into a star.
Condition: With your foot stuck you now suffer a -1 to dodge rolls.

Qinden "I look for a coffee machine"
Event: (5) You find a coffee machine that has your favorite flavor of coffee being fresh brewed. You can now have all the coffee you want. You realize that coffee may help you work better.


Trorbneck "I look around for my socks"
Event: (6) You walk around the ship looking for your socks, eventually finding them in the docking bay of the ship. You hear a message saying there is a ship that can rescue you from the runaway ship, but they only have room for one person.


[Conditions]

Krios:Foot stuck
Qinden: Able to drink favorite coffee blend
Trorbneck:Able to be rescued by rescue ship; has socks

Ship(s):Heading into star
Rescue Ship: Waiting to hear from Trorbneck

It is NEVER advised to refer to someone by their real name. SWC is about your character not you, and it is best to stay in that mindset.

*I grab some scarp metal and a plasma welder and make my own escape pod.

Krios "I grab some scrap metal and a plasma welder and make my own escape pod."
Event: (5) You wield the plasma welder with amazing precision, and you make a suitable escape pod in no time. When you enter the escape pod you see that there are two planets within range of the escape pod.

Trorbneck "I reply to a strange looking ship, with two engines glowing blue, and the front looking like a disk shape, looking like this"
Event: (5) The USS enterprise beams you aboard their ship. They immediately begin questioning you and how they got to this galaxy far, far away.

Qinden "Due to coffee effects, i go hyper-active and run around ship"
Event: (4) You run around the ship, not feeling tired. You feel invigorated, but as you complete your 5th lap of the ship, you trip and fall. As you rub your ankle to make it feel better, you notice something that may get you off the runaway ship.

[Conditions]

Krios: Aboard a homemade escape pod, can choose to leave the runaway ship. Wielding the plasma cutter.
Trorbneck: Aboard some ship called the enterprise, the crew is suspicious of you. You still have your socks
Qinden: Still aboard the runaway ship.(you can use whatever it is you see, say what it is and try to use it if you want) Smelling of coffee, you are still sweaty fromrunning.

Ship(s):Heading into star
Enterprise: suspicious of Trorbneck

After tripping, i look and see 3 things under the control station: The ship's manual, Thermal Detonator, Space Suit and an oxygen tank for the space suit (at full capacity).

The ship's manual reads: "If the ship is stuck on auto-pilot and you try to kick it, it stays locked. THROWING THERMAL DETONATORS INTO POD BAYS IS NOT ADVISED. The ship's scanners can be accessed by entering a 4 digit code".

I go to the escape pod bay and plant the thermal detonator underneath Krios's pod which was attached with uber-glue so it hopefully stays attached, ready to explode upon pod launch.

Try to unlock scanners by entering "1337" as the code...

I proceed to explain that i have no idea how they got to this galaxy. I proceed to explain i am grateful for rescuing me, and that they must destroy the ship i was on immidietly, as it was sent to cause the star to to super nova.

Event: (3) The thermal detonator is attached to the pod, but you aren't sure if the trigger mechanism is working properly

Trorbneck "I proceed to explain that i have no idea how they got to this galaxy. I proceed to explain i am grateful for rescuing me, and that they must destroy the ship i was on immidietly, as it was sent to cause the star to to super nova."
Event: (2) They don't believe you, and they throw you in the brig. They send a hailing call to your runaway ship.

Krios "I board the escape pod and set it to go to the inhabitable of the two planets."
Event: (5) You begin your trip to the planet in the escape pod, when out of no where you hear a noise.
Event (3) the thermal detonator does not blow up right away, instead burning your escape pod at very high temperatures
Krios dodge (3) You manage to use your plasma cutter and some extra scrap metal to repair the damage done to your escape pod. And you manage to burn your off hand a little.

Event:You have a rough landing on the planet, your escape pod is not in good enough shape for you to use as shelter. But you are fine, apart from the minor burn on your off hand.

[Conditions]
Qinden: still on runaway ship, with space suit and full oxygen supply
Trorbneck: In the brig on the enterprise, still have your socks
Krios: on unspecified planet with plasma cutter, offhand burnt

Ship(s):Heading into star in 3 turns
Enterprise: hailing the ship trorbneck came from

[Mod]
Note that Qinden will die in 3 turns if he doesn't get off of the original ship.
Placing the thermal detonator and turning on the ships scanners was 2 moves, so you only did the first one.

Event: (2) You fail to take over the enterprise, some weird alien looking guy threatens to take your socks away if you try that again.

Qinden "i hope the scanners pick something up"
Event: (4) The scanners pick up a ship that you can reach using your spacesuit. (it isnt the enterprise, they are to far away)

Krios "I whip out my trusty personal locating beacon and activate it"
Event: (1) Your locating beacon turns on and begins calling a nearby slaver ship to come and get you. If you are lucky they just want to sell you into slavery


[Conditions]
Trorbneck: In the brig on the enterprise, still have your socks
Qinden: still on runaway ship, with space suit and full oxygen supply, found a ship to escape to
Krios: on unspecified planet with plasma cutter, offhand burnt, slavers coming

Ship(s):Heading into star in 2 turns
Enterprise: laughing at Trorbneck for trying to take over their ship with socks
unspecified ship: doesnt see Qinden's ship nearby
Slaver ship: coming to Krios' location, in orbit of planet

[Mod]
At this point if a new player wishes to join the game, they can choose to start on either of the 2 nearby planets in this unknown system

Trorbneck "I try once again to use my socks to escape by using them to shortcircuit the security systems."
Event: (2) The captain is amused by your repeated attempt to take over a huge ship with just your socks, so he doesn't kill you outright. They are going to strand you without your socks on one of the 2 planets in the system.
Event: You are teleported onto one of the planets, you are not sure which one.

Krios "I attempt to take over the ship with my plasma cutter"
Event: (4) You hide the plasma cutter on your person, and let the slaver take you aboard. As they send a medic to tend to your burn, you hold him hostage. The crew abandons the ship, and you apologize to the medic for this whole ordeal. You now control the slaver ship called, Hobo Finder VI.

Qinden "I attempt to fly to the nearby ship, waving and doing weird stuff hoping they will see me"
Event: (3) The other ship sees you doing these weird things. You get close enough to see the captain, and he looks mad at you. You inadvertently insulted his mother with your gestures.

[Conditions]
Trorbneck: Stranded on one of the two planets, sans socks.
Krios: In command of the slaver vessel "Hobo Finder VI", hand no longer hurts from being burnt.
Qinden: In the middle of open space, near a ship that is mad at you for insulting their mother's

Ship(s):Heading into star in 1 turn(no one is currently on them)
Enterprise: leaving system at warp speed
unspecified ship: angry at Qinden
Slaver ship: under command of Krios
Slaver ship's previous crew: angry at Krios, stranded on the planet.

[Mod]
I forgot to mention, doing basically the same thing 2 times in a row(using socks to take command of the enterprise) incurs a negative modifier. So you can try to do the same thing twice, or even more times, just know that I will subtract 1 from whatever the RNG gives you.
